Demonstrating a clear commitment towards the creation of a skilled and sustainable workforce, McCoy Contractors’ apprenticeship scheme goes from strength to strength offering entrants each year first rate technical training and professional coaching on many specialist projects. 

Leading groundwork and civil engineering contractor McCoy Contractors currently employs three apprentices at its office in Knowle and on site including Groundworks Apprentice Cameron Hickman, Assistant Procurement Manager Toby Young and Assistant Quantity Surveyor Luke Rabone.

Apprentices at McCoy Contractors have an opportunity to gain a vocational qualification that stands them in good stead for their future, whilst at the same time being provided with a raft of training and developmental opportunities within an office environment and on site in the construction industry.

Commenting on the scheme, Assistant Quantity Surveyor Luke Rabone said: “The best thing about my job is that every day is different and I am able to split my time between being out on construction sites and the head office. I also enjoy working as part of a team to ensure the projects are delivered in line with the client’s budget.”
