Building on proven delivery at a flagship midlands Innovation Campus, McCoy Contractors were reappointed to deliver the earthworks and groundworks package for a second major commercial unit at Prospero Ansty Park.

This new commission followed McCoys successful work on Cadent Gas’ highly sustainable 94,000 sq ft headquarters on the same development - a BREEAM Excellent rated facility that now serves as a central hub for managing 25% of the UK’s gas network. The repeat instruction reflects the confidence placed in McCoy’s engineering capability, programme discipline and collaborative approach across complex, multi‑stakeholder sites.

The new commercial unit required a similarly comprehensive scope of works, beginning with extensive earthworks to prepare the site for large‑scale construction and long‑term operational performance.

McCoy undertook a full earthworks package along with the main groundworks phase, delivering reinforced concrete foundations, structural slabs, drainage and below‑ground services.
