Earthworks, groundworks and civil engineering specialist McCoy Contractors has further strengthened its operational capability with the purchase of 24 new Wacker Neuson site dumpers, underlining the company’s continued commitment to investing in high-quality plant and equipment.
The latest fleet addition comprises of four DW60 units, eight DW90 units, eightDV90 dual-view dumpers and four DW30 units. The investment forms part of McCoy’s ongoing strategy to maintain a modern plant fleet while supporting increased project demand across its growing portfolio.
Wacker Neuson’s dumper range is widely recognised for its reliability, operator-focused design and strong safety features. The inclusion of the DV90 dual-view machines offers particular benefits on busy and confined sites, allowing operators to rotate the seat and controls 180 degrees, maintaining excellent visibility and reducing the need for reversing.
The DW60 and DW90 models further complement the fleet with their robust design, high payload capacities and advanced safety features, including hydrostatic drive systems, intuitive controls and excellent manoeuvrability. The DW30 models provide a compact and highly manoeuvrable solution for smaller or more restricted sites, offering strong performance and reliability while maintaining excellent ease of operation. Together, the new machines will improve material movement efficiency while helping to minimise site risk.
Commenting on the investment,Chris Haughey, Managing Director at McCoy Contractors, said: “This significant investment in new Wacker Neuson dumpers reflects our ongoing commitment to providing our teams with the best possible equipment on site. As our project portfolio continues to grow, it is essential that we invest in modern, reliable plant that supports both productivity and, importantly, the safety of our workforce.
“The addition of these machines will help us drive efficiencies across our operations while ensuring we maintain the highest standards of safety on our projects. Having the right equipment in place is fundamental to how we deliver for our clients.”
The new dumpers are already being deployed across a number of McCoy Contractors’ sites, where they are expected to deliver immediate benefits in terms of performance, site logistics and operator comfort.
This latest investment reinforces McCoy’s commitment to continuous improvement, ensuring the company remains well equipped to meet the evolving demands of the civil engineering and construction sectors.
